If you are in the NYC this weekend, you want to be there. CHARETTAPOCALYPSE will be the premier Charetta concert for 2013. We love the big stage and take advantage. Definitely have some tricks up our sleeve for this one! There are still some tickets available through our webstore - www.charetta.com/store
CHARETTA is taking to the airwaves!!!!
WRCN (103.9) is Long Island's ONLY rock station - and they have been gracious enough to let us be a part of their first ever listener hosted morning show. We will be in the studio running things from 6-10am on Wednesday, April 24th. THIS SHOULD BE QUITE INTERESTING to say the least!
So wake up early with us and tune in to our morning show adventure at 103.9 FM in Long Island, NY. You can also listen live online at www.wrcn.com.
Hi everyone! First of all, HUUUUGGGGE Thank you to everyone who either contributed to our kickstarter campaign or spread the word about it. With your help, we were able to reach our goal of 5k and thus head into the studio for new music!
This past week, we went into Vudu Studios for a day of pre-production with our producer, Mike Watts. Pre-production = playing all the songs we have for our producer and then tweaking them (after he takes his fair share of jabs at us in the process. See #WattsInsults on twitter). We are really excited, and Mike was as well. "You guys have really grown as a band since 'A Nation Distracted.'"
We debuted a few new songs last weekend when we opened for Hinder and Nonpoint (which was awesome in case you were wondering), and will be playing even more this upcoming weekend. These next 2 shows will basically be a preview of everything we've written since the last EP. Some of them will be on the upcoming "Apocalypse" EP, while others may remain "live only" songs. Check out the "Shows" tab for more info.
If you are local to the NY area, we hope to see you this weekend. For everyone else - we can't wait to record/release the new material. We plan on having some great packages to go along with the new tunes, so be on the lookout for that!
Don't forget to hit up the store for our existing catalog or to make additional donations!
And again we would like to give a huge THANK YOU to all of those listed below who have contributed thus far and have helped to make "Apocalypse" happen:

Happy New Year everyone. It's Chris here. We know we've been a little quiet lately, but thats because we've been hard at work on new music! To help get it in front of your ears as quickly as possible, we've launched a kickstarter campaign to raise the money for studio fees and allow you to be part of the process at the same time. We have tentative plans to begin recording at the end of March at Vudu Studios (where we recorded "A Nation Distracted").
We are attempting to "crowdsource" our new material via Kickstarter. Crowdsourcing allows independent artists the ability to raise money to fund a particular project, in this case, a new EP/Album by CHARETTA. As you can see from the graph above, we're already off to a great start. 31% funded in only 3 days!
View the official Kickstarter page here - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/charetta/charetta-apocalypse-album
As a reward for your generosity, we offer our "backers" various packages depending on how much money you choose to donate to our project. You can donate as little as one dollar, or as much as the full 5k (maybe you just won Powerball and are feeling generous). The rewards we are offering start at advanced copies of the songs and go all the way up to YOU singing on the album, a private performance at your house, or being the lead actor in next music video! It's a really cool way for us to get you guys even more involved with our band. (see full list)
A message from Angelina
In order for the campaign to be successful, we need to AT LEAST reach our goal of $5,000 (This is our estimated cost of recording 4-5 songs). If we do not reach that goal by Jan 31st, the campaign is cancelled and all donations are refunded. So $5,000 is the minimum. However, there is no maximum. So if the CHARETTA army raises more than $5,000, we can potentially record more songs. We can also spend more time working with our producer to make the songs we do record, the best they can possibly be.
I don't have any money - can I still help?
Absolutely! We understand that money can be hard to come by (heck - it’s the reason we are using kickstarter to begin with), and that many of you still want to help. Spreading the word about the kickstarter campaign is an amazing way to do that, and equally as important. The more people that hear about the campaign, the more likely we are to reach or exceed the 5k goal. Here are a few ways to spread the word:
As always, we ask you be respectful in your promotion. A personal e-mail or message is always the most effective method. Think about it like this - are you more likely to respond to a commercial for a restaurant or a friends recommendation who has eaten there? I know for me, I'll take the recommendation of a friend every single time....and let me tell you, CHARETTA is delicious and always goes down smooth :)
Thank you as always for your continued support. We know with your help, we'll reach our goal and be bringing you new music very soon!
Here is a review from Gotham Rocks:
"So Charetta was all they were cracked up to be and more. Despite a confusing and strange intro that involved gas masks and some sort of siren, the band was magnificent. Front woman Angelina had complete command of the crowd and performed with a bravado associated with top-tier singers. The rest of the band matched her as well, providing great musicality and energy throughout their entire set. The diversity in their performance was noteworthy, especially with the inclusion of a non-self indulgent drum solo and a guest cellist during a ballad. They were professional in every aspect, from the sound to the stage setup. They proved that female-fronted rock bands not only are players in the game but also can be the dominant force in the rock world today. Cheers to them for giving us an amazing show in every way possible."

We are honored and excited to have made it to the FINAL round of Tunelab's EP of the Year award. To even be included in the initial list was awesome, and thanks to you guys, we've made it to the final round...essentially the Top 6 EPs as decided by the fans. Pretty amazing in and of itself, and we would love to win for you guys. All the support you've given us over the years has allowed to us to continue to make music.
You can vote for us once a day (per device) until Dec 29th at
So you can vote once a day on your computer, then again on your phone, but the way we are really going to win this is by getting the word out. Post it on your FB, Twitter, or G+ account. We can do anything as a group!
Thanks as always!
When we were recording these songs, it was freezing cold and there was about 2 feet of snow on the ground, so I guess it's only appropriate that the night we released the CD, it was the most hot and humid day in recent memory. haha.
We have the EP for sale in digital and physical format in our webstore, or if you prefer, you can pick it up on iTunes
We love to hear from our fans, so please let us know what you think on Facebook or Twitter (@Charetta)
We are still reeling from last nights sold out show at Irving Plaza. Our fans are absolutely AMAZING. We'll post more about the experience in another day or two. In the meantime, here is a pic from the show
You can view more on our facebook at www.facebook.com/charettamusic
Hey guys - we just wanted to let you know that the show at Irving Plaza next Thursday (7/21) is very close to being sold out, and if the current pace continues, there will not be tickets available at the door. We are so pumped about this, because it will be the 1st local rock show to sell out Irving! However, we wouldn't want you guys to miss out on this historic night, so if you plan on going, please buy them as soon as you can.
The venue raised the prices after July 1st, but we pre-purchased a bunch of $15 dollar tickets to keep the cost down for you :)
Only 10 more days til "A Nation Distracted" is released!!!!!
Filmed & Directed by: JayR Castillo & Sigh Robes
As we prepare for the release of our new EP in a few weeks, we are excited to bring you an interactive YouTube "LP" of our 1st album. It's a really cool concept we saw another artist do on YouTube, and we liked it so much, we decided to do one of our own. One of the things that gets lost in this day and age of downloading and streaming is having the album artwork and lyrics to go with the music. We felt the Video LP recreates this in a nice clean YouTube package. Best of all, it's free for you.
All the videos feature the full songs, the albums artwork, and individual song lyrics. The track listing in the videos are a live link to all the other songs, or use the playlist to listen to the entire album in full.
We are all about making it as easy as possible for our fans, or potential fans, to listen to and enjoy our music. If you like what you hear, and you'd like to buy the album, that would be awesome. You can do so in our store
